What should a REAL Turkey Tail look like? Yeah, some are fantastically made--the fakes, that is. Not to say there aren't G-10 T.T.s out there, but they're a rarity--most of these Late Archaic point forms were used, sharpened, broken, 'salvaged', and used until there wasn't much of the original form remaining. Getting a chance to study some broken examples, compare them to a 'hard-used-but-real' piece--and a couple with exceptional basal characteristics, you learn what to look for. The longest of these Spencer and Warrick County, Indiana, points is 2&15/16", the basal fragment of the higher grade T.T> is 1&1/16". Neat pieces, REAL. Shipping is $7.00, and you can pay with checks, cash, or M.O.s, but please note this store does not use paypal-type payments. Thanks--Roy A.
