Heavy, heavy basal edge grinding, what you'd expect from a Cornernotched Pinetree. This Union County, Kentucky, Pinetree is a creek find--the piece came from the finder a half dozen years back--probably made its way into my collection the day after he found it--the money likely spent-and-gone the next day, then he was back in the creeks trying for more. The flint is a VERY weathered, greenish patinated Hornstone, high grade of the flint, 1&7/8" by 1", and less that 1/4" in thickness (3.5 sixteenths). By choice I did not wash the piece, so if you see mud, it's original--deliberately left to show the way the piece was found, EXACTLY the way it was found. There is nothing I could call 'damage'; tip, basal corners and barbs, they're the way the Early Archaic hunter lost the piece. Shipping is $6.00, checks or M.O>s are welcomed. Please note my store does not use paypal--Roy A.
