Picture doesn't lie--one big, big Cache Blade (no evidence of use )polish) as a spade, so I'll stick with 'cache blade'. Out of west-central Illinois, St. Claire County, that colorful flint is a bit outside my area--it may be Payson, but I'll have to do some 'homework' to be sure--very large, sharp-edged, length is a sixteenth under 6" by 3*5/8" wide, a thickness of 1&5/16". The way the ancient knapper shattered the flint from a slab, one side is almost smooth (and edge flaked), the main face shows all the percussion chipping that formed the blade. Some of the large flakes that were removed in the 'forming', they were large enough to use as individual cutting tools. Put this big blade under a 10x loop, there is patina (mineralization) evrywhere--it's real. Shipping is by Priority Mail due to size & weight, $12.00. I welcome checks, cash, or M.O>s, but do not use electronic payments (like paypal)--Roy A.
