Out of an Illinois collection, Bill Pesch estate sale, one very large flat stem Adena, 4&7/16" by 1&5/8", a center thickness that is very near 7/16" in the center between the shoulders--one very large knife blade. To the feel, the flat stem is ground smooth--maybe that's simply due to wear, or it might have been deliberately smoothed--either way, that flat stem edge would 'socket' on a handle more securely than a pointed/ rounded stem. The Adena hunter knew what he needed when he made so large a knife. The tip shows use wear--not damage, just use. One face has a couple catalog numbers stenciled, but without the 'key' to the catalog there's only the auction catalog for any additional information; that'll be provided to the next owner. Great piece, guaranteed authentic. I pay the shipping, so there is no additional cost. Checks or M.O.s are welcomed, but I do not use paypal--Roy A.
