Found in the far S.W. corner of Indiana--Posey County, made of a very good grade of our Hoosier Harrison County Hornstone, 2&1/8" by 1&1/2", only 5/16" max thickness. That light-colored barb? It's cortex, it is NOT restoration-under a 10x loop you can see the texture of the 'cherty' inclusion the Early Archaic MacCorkle knapper worked his way into--and formed into a longer barb. It's intact. Wear--the shorter barb and the tip show very slight wear-down, a close up shows that slight wear. The bevel to either blade tells you there were more than a few sharpen-and-use cycles--and a chance for the knapper to build those serrated cutting edges to the hafted knife. The patina is outstanding, every detail is guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $6.00, checks or money orders are welcomed. Sorry, I never use paypal--Roy A.
