A decent sized group of Spencer and Perry County, Indiana, arrowheads--mostly made of grey Indiana Hornstone, but a few made of Harrodsburg Fossil Chert, but a few are also made of our Holland Flint (chalcedony) and Derby Flint--another Chalcedony. That mottled red piece looks like a Harrison County (Ind.) Muldrough Chert that was heat treated--iron oxides are brought out when some flints are exposed to heat treating. The 'time mix' is from Early Archaic cornernotched dart forms up to Hopewell types--several good Buck Creeks, I think, and a 1&13/16" Table Rock Mid Archaic there in the center--always one of my favorite point forms, add in a hornstone Lowe that's very thin (another point type I collect), too. Beside that Lowe, that wide (1&1/2") auriculate point with one basal tang snapped, a Kirk Cornernotched, 2&1/8"--NICE point even if there was some ancient damage. These would look great framed-up, authentic points from (of ALL PLACES), a Santa Claus, Indiana, based collection...I kid you not. Shipping is $10. One note--if you cannot pay by cash, check, or money order you cannot pay for this group--I do NOT use paypal-type services--Roy A.
