Superb Owl effigy applique rim rider and pottery discoidal game piece, they were found in Henderson County, KY. The owl is an extremely fine and rare piece with some designs in areas. The most unique feature is what I believe to be a fish vertebrae imprint on the back. The un fired clay would have been formed over the bone to help secure it on. Very unique for applique. Measures roughly an inch by an inch. The buyer will receive a bonus piece from the same collection. Don't miss this fine and rare set!
