A fine piece, this Kirk Cornernotch dart point--comes from the S.W. Corner of the Hoosier state--I think Posey County, but I've had the point for most of a quarter century, the I.D. tag long since fell off. Regardless, 100% guaranteed real in every detail. Length is 1&15/16" by 15/16", barely over 1/4" thickness measured by caliper. Being Kirk Culture, the basal edge has the "bare minimum" (Kirk standard) edge grinding--you feel the grinding more on the corners of the stem than the center. One face shows some glue from the way the piece was displayed by the finder--likely a waterbased glue that'll come off easily. A close up photo should show the extra fine pressure flaking the forms the tip--even if they were 'spotty' on basal grinding, Kirk Peoples were excellent flint knappers, angled (oblique) flaking. Skilled work. Shipping is $7.00 USPS minimum charge. I welcome payments by check, cash, or M.O>, but do not use paypal-type payments--Roy A.
