One part of me wants to call this a Late Archaic Stemmed, another wants to classify it as an Adena Robbins--one fine piece of Indiana hornstone, very patinated hornstone, caliper reads 3&11/16" by 1&1/8", with the hafting area 7/16" thick--the blade then thins to the tip. Near the tip is a bit of either damage or 'later period use'--it's partially patinated when you look at the area under a 10x loop, but the patina isn't the 3500-to-2500BP patina of a Late Archaic point--the patina also says it isn't NEW damage. A small degree of stem edge grinding is present. Out of Warrick County, Indiana, a long-stored collection, guaranteed authentic. Shipping comes with the price, nothing additional, and checks or M.O>s are how I welcome payment. Sorry, that means NO paypal--Roy A.
