A heavily 'size reduced' auriculate base Early Archaic Big Sandy--1&5/16" with basal edge grinding, extra high-end pressure chipping--and thin, only 3/16" max thickness (1" max width). The flint is actually hornstone, but a grey and red (it's not a cortex, should someone ask)--the color may have been due to some accidental heat exposure, something (like a cookfire) brought out the iron oxides in the flint. The find was part of a very old family collection in Gibson County, Indiana. The man (info will go to the next owner as I believe in sending along the provenance I've collected) put together a frame of some of the best, most colorful dart points I've EVER seen in one collection--good material, guaranteed authentic. Shipping is the $8.00 USPS has as their base rate, and checks, cash, or M.O>s are the only ways I take payments. Sorry, that means you can't pay by a paypal-type payment system--Roy A.
