Out of an Edwards County, Illinois, collection, a very long and narrow Cobbs Knife--Early Archiac Culture, just under 3&3/8" by only some 7/8"--my caliper tops out the thickness at only 1/4" max--THIN knife. Note the basal edge shows considerable use polish, so instead of a more 'typical' knapped edge you'll find that heavy wear--heavy wear (polish) also shows on the tip--this was one well used tool. Whatever the use, it polished the base. The edges show some bevel sharpening, more typical for a Cobbs. GREAT patination, guaranteed authentic "for life" (mine, lol). Shipping is $7.00, checks or M.O>s are how I accept payment. Sorry, NO paypal-type payment services--Roy A.
