Made of Crescent Quarry Chert (high end Burlington), ,2&3/16" with strong bevel sharpening and basal edge grinding (so you know the cornernotch isn't a Kirk)--width is 1&7/16" and the thickness is 7/16", great color with the creme, reds (iron oxides) and yellows. Assuming the same provenance as the rest of the Pesch Collection, Fayette County, Illinois (area). The blade has some small repair, all Early Archaic made, but great patination--whatever dings-or-dents you see, they're ancient, lifetime guaranteed real in every regard..
