Five points from a Fayette County, Illinois, collection, a REAL mix of materials--and time frame. The colorful point is 1&15/16" for scale--don't know for certain, but I suspect it's a heat treated Attica Flint--iron oxides really 'come to the fore' when Attica (Indiana/ Illinois Green Flint) is heat treated. The white notched base point is 1&3/4"--NOT broken, it has a line--a thin, tiny line of quartz zig-zagging across the blade. The smallest is slightly under 1&1/4", a high grade Crescent Quarry (high grade Burlington) chert, slightly translucent. The green/ red triangle is a preform for some other point--some side notched types (Big Sandys) have a preform like this prior to notching the blade. The final piece is a river pebble chert with loads of fossils, corner notched like a Motley Point, 1&3/4". ALL are guaranteed real. Catalog numbers are from the last owner. Shipping is $7.00, checks or M.O.s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type payment services--Roy A.
