Shipping included with the price on this far western edge of Illinois (Alton area) Cupp Point made from a very high grade of Kaolin Flint--check out the back-lighted photo, you'll understand--when the silicate level (in a flint) is that high the edges are practically translucent--this Cupp point is one good example both of the point type--and the flint. Length is right at 2&3/8" by 1". Being a very late point type, extra late Woodland-into-Mississippian, there is no basal edge grinding. The tip is a needle point as a burin. That one 'sliced-off shoulder' is anciently salvaged--could be there never was a shoulder, this fault line break shows strong grinding to polish (salvage) the area for hafting 'string' (sinew). Look at the piece under a 10x loop and there is sand & dirt ground into the surface--definite patina to tell you the break went back to the original user. Every detail is guaranteed authentic, period. I welcome checks or money orders, but do not use paypal--Roy A.
