The auction information for Bill's collection did not indicate if he found or bought the big 3.25" by 1&7/16", ONLY 1/4" thick Early Archaic point there in Fayette County, or if it was it from a dealer he trusted. You now have the history I got with the piece. It's a mottled type of Hornstone, patinated and with a few old nicks and dings to its history (see the tiny impact fracture on the side of the tip, for one, and I note some ancient salvage/ repair to the insides of the Dovetail stem.
