A center-of-nodule limestone inclusion was incorporated into the design of this Stilwell point by the Early Archaic knapper--he turned some rough, quartz-bearing material into a 'secondary feature' for working wood (or bone) handles. The long--almost 3&1/4"--hornstone point is from a Martin County, Indiana, collection. Width is 1&1/4", and thickness on that inclusion reaches slightly over 3/8"--that area was a 'stack' that proved too hard to thin without breaking the piece. The base has that very, very light grinding that's typical of Kirk C.N. points and Stilwells. There is a minor chip on the more rounded barb--small nick from all the blade edge sharpening. Great patina, every detail is guaranteed authentic. USPS shipping is their $8.00 minimum charge (not much I can do about that, unfortunately),a nd checks, cash, or M.O.s are how I welcome payment. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
