At 3&15/16" by 1&3/8", thickness of only 3/8" in the center, the flint quality, the knapping skill make up for a bit of ancient damage (use-made) along the blade edge--the Adena user did some salvage chipping to the notch-in, but didn't use the blade edge as a shaft scraper (no work polish)--same is true on the very base of the blade, about a 1/8" 'clip off' of the blade. Under 10x you can spot the 'yellowing' of the edge, so the flakes are old damage, not new---when the edge shows yellow, it's patina. If there are newly made flakes the edge is 'stark gray'. Patina doesn't lie--the Gibson County, Indiana Adena knife/ preform is 100% real. Shipping is $6.00, checks or M.O.s welcomed. Sorry, I do not take any sort of electronic payments (like paypal)--Roy A.
