The $6 cost of shipping included with the price on this S.W. Indiana Side-notched Big Sandy Contracted Base-type point. I've kept trying to fit the point into the Pinetree 'cluster', but that base is just too side notched, and while it's ground it's not as heavy as the grinding you'd find on a Pinetree. Made of a glossy Hornstone2&3/8" by 1&5/16"--a brown, slightly translucent inclusion to the tip of the piece--a white bullseye below that brown tip. The find is out of Vanderburgh or surrounding Indiana county, well patinated. One barb is nicked, an ancient bit of use-made damage--looks like the Early Archaic user salvaged the basal corner below that missing barb. Neat piece, 100% guaranteed authentic. I welcome checks or M.O.s by do not use paypal--Roy A.
