The number of Celts that get over seven inches (7&1/4" by 2&15/16", 1&15/16" thick), they're few. When they're absolutely guaranteed authentic for life the number goes down some more--a great Celt out of Fayette County, Illinois, ex Richard Brewer Collection--the front edge has his catalog number inked-on. Made of a very good grade of granite, highly polished and formed. A note on the 'form'--what looks like a heel (poll end) break is actually a place where the Woodland/ Mississippian Era maker made the piece so long he rad to the very edge of the granite cobble used--there wasn't enough granite to fully make a rounded end; it's NOT a break, and it's ground smooth. Is the piece perfect--no--there are some light farming-made marks, and the bit shows obvious signs of usage--you can even find a spot on the bit where there was a 'touch up" of a bit chip. Again, every detail is authentic, period. Shipping is included with the price and checks or M.O.s are the ways I welcome payment. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
