Shipping through USPS--INCLUDED with the price, here. The Celt is granite, out of Union County, Illinois, area, measures 4&1/2" by 2&1/4". Max thickness is 1&1/2". What makes the piece is that great polish to the bit area--and the condition of the bit itself. The Celt must have been lost shortly after the last time the bit was sharpened, only two very tiny chips to an otherwise perfect edge. Most celts are so bit-worn you overwork the phrase "use dulled" in an item description--nice to describe an authentic piece with this sort of condition. The heel (poll end) is also in excellent condition. As the Woodland Culture--Adena, I'm presuming, made the piece they worked past a couple of iron stained 'low spots' on the river cobble. Those remain, one on each side--those may also have been spots where wedges could be forced to hole the head more securely on its handle. Every detail is lifetime guaranteed authentic. Checks or M.O.s welcomed, however I do not use paypal--Roy A.
