I pay the shipping, nothing extra required on this Union or Webster County, Kentucky, Kirk Stemmed--the flint is GRAY hornstone, creek patinated to this shade, 2&1/2" by a wide 1&1/2'--the max thickness, though is only 5/16". There is NO damage--tip is a needle, both--yes, both barbs are exactly as the last Early Archaic blade sharpening fashioned them (one is just shorter than the other)--base is also intact. Note the close up of the stem; either side of the stem was notched-in for hafting--and the notch was made on opposite faces. It's not exactly side notching, but the same principle. Some 7500BP hunter got tired of a knife blade that wobbled, he took it apart, notched the stem for better control--not a modification you see very often. As is so often the case with Kirks, there is very little basal edge dulling. Flaking: view the piece with the point-on, absolutely great pressure chipping. Every detail is lifetime guaranteed authentic. I welcome checks and M.O.s, however I do not use paypal--Roy A.
