Length is only slightly under 1&3/4" by 7/8", and max thickness nearly 1/4"--thin, very thin Pinetree cornernotched dart point. Repeated looks and the flint type may be either a hornstone or a gray version of our Spencer County, Indiana, Holland Flint. In most cases I could pick out Holland in my sleep, it was the very first flint (other than Hornstone) I began finding 53 years ago--this dart is made of a gray shade that's just slightly different from the standard. The Posey County, Indiana, found Kirk's base still has grinding on the corners but the base (center) has a few tiny salvage chips in the middle--before re-hafting the piece the Kirk culture hunter did not do more grinding to that basal edge--or maybe he never put the piece back on a handle, no way to know--it's real, it's guaranteed real. Some slight bits of glue show on the reverse face--I'll clean those myself, but they do show how the piece was once displayed--glued to a board. Nice dart, IMHO. Shipping is $6.00, checks or M.O.s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
