I pay the shipping, nothing extra on this 4&1/16" Cobbs knife from a southern Illinois farm auction. The piece has been in my collection for some years now, well made, well patinated, of an excellent quality flint. I've heard the flint described as a "White Kaolin", far more natural gloss than a Crescent Quarry form of Burlington--silicate level is excellent. Width is 1&11/16", thickness is 7/16" in the center of the blade. As the strong Early Archaic bevels will show, there were many, many sharpenings of the blade--the tip actually forms a 'twist" (see close up photo). If someone is interested in the piece, they buy it, that's great, otherwise it has a home, lol. Checks or M.O.s are welcomed, however I do not use paypal--Roy A.
