Ships by Priority Mail, lots of packing, $11.00.The Adz-- one face being flat, and the chopping 'work polish' to the bit, measures 5&11/16" by 2&1/4", and max thickness is right on 1". The piece comes out of the mid state, Decatur, Illinois, area, heavily patinated Burlington Chert. The bit area has one surface chip that's modern, and it's VERY easy to spot the freshly exposed chert, study the patina--you want to know what patinated flint looks like, modern damage (of any kind) will expose material that's never been weathered...you (anyone) might not like damage, but it does allow you to authenticate. Note: a feature I've noticed on other Adz tools, in the middle of the piece, both edges, there is a super heavy dulling of the edge. Assuming these were hafted chopping tools, not hand-held, what that edge dulling accomplished is hard to figure. Hold the piece, you'll feel it, maybe you'll be the one to figure out the use. Payment: I welcome checks, cash, or M.O.s, but please note I do not accept paypal. Thanks for looking--Roy A.
