Made of an excellent grade of Hornstone, 3&8/8" by slightly over 1&1/2", a center thickness of 3/8". The patina is there, the knapping is exactly right, not one detail is out of line on this lifetime guaranteed authentic Turkey Tail. The piece comes from Bath County, Kentucky, and that was the only provenance the last owner provided, ether he (or bought) the piece, I can't say--it's real, period. These Harrison-type Turkey Tails, they started as (sometimes) inch blades, even wider than this present width, then were worked (sharpened) to get the final form, the wide 'shoulders', narrowing to the tip. Here, the tip shows use wear, whether from cutting or gouging--this was a work knife, it SHOULD show use wear.
