No hype, one darn nice Axe, Early Archiac Full Groove that's out of an old private museum, Edwards County, Illinois--unlike most of his finds, this one wasn't written on in ink with county provenance. It's made of either a river-found quartzite or Greenstone, VERY dense--length is close to 3&1/4" by 2&5/8", with 1&13/16" max width. Hefty, but somewhat short. The 'lines' of the axe make me wonder if the polished bit was ever longer, but if so the Early Archaic user took great care to re-polish as the bit was used and (if so) shortened: excellent polish, excellent bit, and every detail is lifetime guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $11, barely fits the thickness of a Priority Mail pack. Checks or money orders are welcomed, but I do not use paypal--Roy A.
