Found along the Wabash River, but whether on the Posey County, Indiana, side or over on the Illinois side of the river, that one I don't know--nice Hopewell--or Snyders depending on how you view the rounded notches, so authentic it's a 'no brainer'. Flint is Indiana Harrison County Hornstone, exactly 2" by 1&3/8", almost the entire blade being 1/4" (one only slightly thicker 'stack' in the center). The basal edge has no grinding--correct for the point type. In a small 'valley' on the reverse there's a spot of glue so the finder may have had a tag stating the provenance at one time--long since gone, unfortunately. Judging from the width and the size of the base the blade must have been originally knapper as a much larger knife. Authentic, period.
