At 3&3/16" this is a very good length for a Fractured Base Decatur--width is 1&1/4", and only 5/16" max thickness. The basal edge is both fractured and ground--absolutely classic for this form of Decatur. Originally from the Knox County, Vincennes, Indiana, area. Were there any number of blade edge sharpen-and use cycles--the blade edges testify to that--they also show the patina to say the piece is 100% real. Near the tip is a shaft-scraping indention, it's not just a 'touch up' of minor edge damage (and serration). Good point, great length, guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $9.00 with checks or M.O>s welcomed. Sorry I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
