Out of Macon County, Illinois, FULL history to the buyer of this granite Woodland (Adena or possibly Hopewell) Celt. The tiny collection had those two types of points, so the chance is something like 99.9% certain who made the piece. As the style is "Square End" I'll refine that to Hopewell Culture as my 'best guess'. Length is slightly under 4&1/8", 1&11/16" 'height', and max thickness of 7/8". The slight wear to the bit is the only damage. Overall polish (and patina) are really good, every detail is guaranteed authentic. The family related that the few artifacts in the collection were found in the mans' garden--on high ground overlooking the Sangamon River. Shovel, anyone? Maybe an 8N and a bottom plow?. Shipping is $7.00, checks or M.O>s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
