Out of a Clarksville, Tennessee, collection, ex G.Noel till he traded some axes for flint--this Hardin has been in my collection a half-dozen years since (I collect Hardins, consider the 2&5/16" point a good TN example of the type, and of a Buff. River Chert--possibly heat treated with all the red coloration. The stem shows grinding, more so on the outside edges than the basal edge. The stem is large enough that the blade likely started as a larger knifeblade--well worked, kept sharp with some good pressure chipping to the blade edges--width is 1&1/8", and 5/16" max thickness. Real, period. Shipping is $6.00, checks, cash, or M.O>s are the welcomed payment forms, but please note I do not use paypal--Roy A.
