Price includes the shipping on this 5&7/16" by 1&15/16", 7/16" max thickness Cobbs Early Archaic Period Knife. The tip was used as a buffing feature, it shows wear polish. There was just enough sharpening of the blade to start a bevel--not a heavy bevel, but held tip-towards-you, you see the bevel better. The basal edge is very slightly dulled. As a hand-held knife you'd think the Early Archaic hunters would have ground the basal edge on a Cobbs, but it's rare to find one that's ground. The piece has been in a southern Indiana collection, made of the type Muldrough Chert that turns out in Harrison County, Indiana, but was never marked for the county of record. The patination is excellent, every conceivable detail is lifetime guaranteed authentic. I welcome checks or M.O.s, however I do not use paypal--Roy A.
