Exactly 3" by2&1/8", one inch thick, the Celt is out of either Edwards or Wabash County, southeast Illinois. the bit is in really good condition, and if the scar from previous use tells us anything it's that the Greenstone Celt was originally much longer--the reason the bit is such good condition is that the piece had to be salvaged in Woodland use--to me it looks Hopewell based on the shape. You look at the piece, it tells you its story. The bit will also testify to the fact it stayed in use, some very minor edge nicks are present.. Good piece, lifetime guaranteed authentic.
