Only light basal edge grinding on this hornstone Kirk point--it the edge grinding had been more 'polished' I might have said "Lost Lake--a Stage-1 Lost Lake (no blade edge resharpening, no bevel to the blade edges. Check out the close up photos, the chipping work is as fine as any Early Archaic point you'll come across. Length is only 1&3/4", but the blade doesn't have a salvage look (or the thickness a longer blade would have had)--thinness never exceeds 1/4"--width is 1&5/16". The very tip does show a couple tiny 'repair flakes' made to keep the tip sharp. With this type of Harrison County, Indiana, hornstone there is color-banding--a nodule-type hornstone, not a layer (lense) flint--the center of the nodule shows off the edge, the higher quartz center of the sphere. Found in Posey County, Indiana, lifetime guaranteed authentic in every detail. Shipping is $6.00 with checks or M.O.s the way I welcome payment. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
