The very elderly farmer/ finder walked his Gibson County, Indiana, fields--this not quite 2.75" Late Archaic Culture Turkey Tail being one of the better T.T.s he found (most sites on his land were Woodland, though, not Turkey Tail). The piece is made of a banded chert that's most similar to Attica (Indiana Green), and as the farmground was along the Wabash River, I expect this piece IS Attica, something carried into this area by 2500 BP passing travelers--or traders. The stem edges show excellent grinding. One thing is obvious is that the blade started much longer, the thick ( .375") tip would never be "original equipment"--it's the product of a break and an ancient repair--the hafted knife stayed usable, but honestly, that tip is 'clunky'--price reflects the tip. Shipping is $6.00, checks or M.O.s welcomed, cash is also welcomed, however I do not use paypal--Roy A.
