Found where the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers come together, Jersey County. Pieces of raw flint I've seen on trails in Pere Marquette SP, I'm assuming the Adena is made of that local flint--all the limestone bluffs along that area of Illinois, I'd expect there are a number of quarry sites--Illinois Great River Road, HIGHLY recommended, google it. This particular Adena is 2&5/8" by 1&7/16", a somewhat thick medial ridge (indicating a much longer blade at first making) is a full 7/16" thickness. The tip has either an exfoliated flake, or the Adena hunter made a very sharp burin. Patination is excellent, lifetime guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $6.00 with checks, cash, or M.O>s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
