Myself, I'm split between calling this Cornernotch an unsharpened Pinetree, or a Stilwell--I lean towards Pinetree based on the more ground and rounded base--Stilwell points being more flat across the base, and(like Kirks) not showing much edge grinding. This cornernotch has excellent grinding. Use your hands to cover much of the blade edges, you see what the piece would have looked like if it had gone through multiple sharpen-and-use cycles, the central spine was about all that was left. See a Pinetree? The point comes from along the Ohio River, Hancock County, Kentucky, area, and the flint is a local type seen in the creeks back off the river, 1&13/16" by 1&1/8", only 1/4" right at the hafting area, then thinning as you go up the blade. The only damage is a very slight chip off one barb--ancient. Every detail is guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $6.00, checks or M.O>s are welcomed, but please note I do not use paypal--Roy A.
