Slightly over 2&3/4" by 1&3/16", a heavy (strong) blade at 3/8" thickness--that larger percussion-type chipping, you have little doubt the piece is Late Archaic in origin--they made points with a thicker medial ridge, percussion chipping, and lack of basal edge grinding. If I type the piece as any particular style, Cypress Creek is my first line of study. Although the point is much later in time (2500--3500 BP, the basic outline reminds you of the much earlier Hardin points. AS far as the flint--a "local deposit" would be the only suggestion I'd have, it isn't a flint that was in heavy use in southwest Indiana, where the piece has been in a local collection--authentic in every detail. Shipping is $6.00, checks, cash, or M.O>s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
