Christian County, Kentucky, found somewhere along the incredibly winding Pond River. There is enough basal grinding that I would term the piece a Pinetree instead of a Kirk Stemmed, but labeling it a "Cornernotch" solves that--you can decide for yourself which designation you want to call it--had there been more sharpenings of the blade, more serration, I suspect most would call the piece a Kirk Stemmed, regardless of the strong basal grinding. The flint is a form of Hornstone, 2&1/4" by 1&1/16"' and a very thin 1/4" max thickness. The only thing I'd describe as 'damage' is a use-made nick to the side of the very tip--ancient. Every detail is guaranteed authentic. Shipping is only $5.00, checks or M.O>s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
