Avon Chert, the point out of the Illinois prairie area near Staunton--Macoupin County, Illinois.There's something about the 1&15/16" dart point, it's been on my computer stand for a couple weeks, just a decent, decent smaller dart from the Middle-to-Late Archaic--you see some of the stem styling that led into the Adena phase. What looks like writing on one stem face is actually a series of tiny fossils that dissolved, tiny 'pits' in the Avon chert itself. Good piece, good balance. Shipping is included with the purchase, checks, cash, or M.O.s welcomed, but this store does not use paypal--Roy A.
