Out of a Jackson or Union County, Illinois, collected estate--Kaolin Flint, it sure looks like (the non cortex portion), sort of a green-gold color--iron oxides (red-to-brick color) forms the one side of the medial ridge. Whether you classify the piece as a Dixon or a Gary probably indicates where similar points you've found (your area) are called, but either name is correct. Length is slightly under 2&1/16", width is 1&1/4"--5/16" in the center of the blade thickness. The sides of the angled stem are heavily ground, basal edge is somewhat lighter on grinding. The patinated blade shows any number of Woodland Era sharpenings, and it lifetime guaranteed authentic in every detail--Mr. Brewer's collection was one of the CLEANEST collections I've ever purchased from, not one fake, not one rechip that I found. Amazing !!! Shipping is $6.00, checks or M.O>s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
