Five Vigo or Sullivan County, Indiana, arrowheads: three are gray Hornstone, the Turkey Tail is the longest at 2", shows some Late Archaic Period (2500 BP) fire damage to the stem. The side-notch is 1&3/8", either a Big Sandy or one of those very similar Mid Archaic point forms that brought back the side notching. The stemmed snap base Pickwick Mid-to-Late Archaic point is 1&5/8". The red cornernotch is a brick-colored Jasper with white quartz inclusions. The tip on this point was used as a chisel--REALLY heavy work polish to the tip. The rounded base point is a conglomerate river pebble that was utilized. Interesting that there is heavy basal edge grinding. Mid Archaic peoples wouldn't have ground a basal edge that way, nor would Snyders, so putting a classification on this one is a classification challenge--authentic, but hard to 'type". Shipping is $6.00, checks, cash, or M.O.s welcomed. Please note I do not use paypal before you add to cart. Thanks--Roy A.
