I pay the shipping on this Webster or Union County, Kentucky Kirk Stemmed--not too serrated, so I'll stick with Kirk Stemmed, a dark grey Hornstone that patinated to a green color--ONLY creek water, all the minerals will patinate hornstone that way. Length is 2&1/16" by 1&1/4"--the blade being super thin barely reaches 1/4" thickness. Probably the last time the piece was used a small chip 'dinged' the tip--and the end of one barb another end clip, but considering all the use you can see, the again-and-again sharpening of the blade, if that's ALL the damage, to me (at least) that's pretty minor. The stem shows both basal edge grinding, and a strong thinning flake that 'flutes' the base. Kirk knappers made them that way. Nice point, it's been in my personal collection some fifteen years, purchased from the finder--read that as "full provenance" you'll receive. I welcome checks, cash, or M.O.s but I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
