Shipping cost is included, no additional auction fees, buyers' premiums, all that B.S....I pay enough of those as-is. So--what you get is a stunner of a Motley from a Montgomery County, Illinois, collection--the proverbial "paper thin"--my caliper touches 1/4" at the center of the stem, but the blade is almost all 3/16" or thinner. That's some impressive knapping by the couple thousand year past artisan. Length of the fossil chert is 3&1/8", 1&5/16" wide across the barbs. To mention the basal corner hardly needs saying, but it looks like that basal tang has been clipped-off for many years. I see very slight wear on the barbs--not really damage so much as simple use. So, to wrap up, there was slight ancient use but not much of it, the knife was far too fragile to be an "every day knife"--you wouldn't have made a piece this thin, as well knapped if all you wanted was a butcher knife--this was ancient art, and it's 100% guaranteed authentic. Payment can be by cash, check, or money order but I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
