An Edwards County, Illinois, Cornernotch--that degree of bevel sharpening, the slightly auriculate base, I'd classify the piece as a Neuberger--but as always with an 'opinion' someone else might see a Kirk, a Pinetree, look at other examples, "Overstreet" or "Projectile points.com", find the classification "name" that you think best fits. The point is ex Norman Reid Museum (private museum he ran to support himself and his hobby)--Edwards County, Illinois, and the flint is Burlington--Crescent Quarry, a slightly higher grade of Burlington with more gloss. Length is 2" by 1&7/16", the bevel work telling you there were multiple ancient sharpenings that reduced a much longer knifeblade. My caliper reads only 1/4" MAX thickness. The base shows a fairly small degree of edge dulling--that's one reason you know the point type is related to the Kirk Cornernotch, that lack of edge grinding. Patina is there, every detail is guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $8.00, checks or M.O>s are the ways I welcome payment. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
