Priority Mail shipping included on this "rather large" Greenstone Celt from a Montgomery Co., Illinois collection--some provenance is written on the Celt; initials and the 2005 'recovery date' are readable, but abbreviations for places, well, perhaps you'll be able to decipher them--I haven't. Length measure is a very long 7&1/8" by 3&1/4" & 2&1/8" max thickness--you can READ the numbers, but it's only when you have this large Celt in you hands when you suddenly realize just how big it really is. The bit had Woodland Period repair following a center-of-bit ding--the user went to extra effort to polish-out that use-made damage--evidently the intention was to keep the length at max or the whole piece would have been shortened by an inch or more. Being curious, I weighed the greenstone piece: 2lb 11.7 oz...definitely not a toy. Patina is "no brainer", every detail guaranteed authentic.
