Originally from a Christian County--Muhlenburg Co., Kentucky collection--a friend bought the collection, plucked out the pieces he wanted for HIS collection, offered the balance to me. I kept this Pinetree, NICE piece of Hornstone,2&1/8" by 1&5/16", only 5/16" thickness at the hafting area--thinner-and-thinner as you work your way to the tip. The flint has a natural gloss to it, that's what caught my 'collecting interest', why it's stayed in my collection so long. Some collectors might classify this point as a Kirk as there is very little basal edge grinding--there is enough serration that I always viewed the piece as a Pinetree. As far as 'damage', there is an ancient nick on the tip, hardly a sixteenth inch, and then a barb end chip---typical for Pinetree points, so many of them have identical use-made dings. Patina is outstanding, every detail is guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $6.00 with checks or money orders welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
