Could be your first artifact(to receive) in 2026, a Warrick County, Indiana, hornstone 2-tone knife---or a preffofrm for a point style if that notch on the basal edge was intended to make this "North Blade" a Snyders point (as I expect). Could be that basal notch didn't 'go as planned', something stopped the Hopewell knapper from converting the North Blade into a full hafted point style. Work polish along the shaft scraper on the edge indicates the piece saw plenty of work life, though--run a finger tip through the notch-in, you'll feel the work polish. Length is right under 2&3/4" (slight work use on the very tip may have contributed to the knife being 1/16" shorter than it started. Width is 1&15/16"--the blade nicely thinned at 5/16" max thickness. Visually, the color separation is striking, just a neat artifact. I welcome checks, cash, money orders, but do not use paypal-type payment services. All the best from my family to yours for a healthy 2026--Roy & Jo
