A Knox County, Kentucky, finely made Hopewell (absolutely no basal grinding) point that's made of an unusual banded Hornstone--there is almost a Hematite color to the bands, so the flint may be more related to Sonora than to a 'true' hornstone--GREAT material as the pictures should show. Length is slightly over 1&7/8" by 1&1/8", barely reaches 1/4" max thickness--blade edges are some of the finest Hopewell flaking (chipping) I can recall, reminds you of the great work they did on the Late Hopewell Lowe & Bakers Creek points. Great patina. Note the base was slightly indented on both basal corners--made that way, those aren't dings. Shipping is $6.00, checks or M.O>s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
