A Vanderburgh County, Indiana, field find, a few light plow scratches, but the form and condition speak for themselves--NICE small Celt2&15/16" by 1&1/2", thickness of 1&1/8"--the Celt is simply 'balanced' if that makes sense. The 'crisp' bit is intact--plows didn't cross the bit edge as they so often seem to. Culturally, I'd assume the hardstone piece was relate to the large Mississippian village here in this area, but sometimes figuring what a Hopewell Culture maker made and a Miss. Culture toolmakers' style, it's a blurry line--real in every detail. Shipping is $7.00, payment can be by check, cash, or <.O., but please note I do not use paypal--Roy A.
