A piece that's been in my personal collection for possibly thirty years, originally from Illinois as it's Cobden Flint--brown stained, covered with the concentric lines you expect from that higher grade" Illinois Hornstone"--there is a small patch of brown stained glue from a label that was once attached. Basing my classification strictly on the lack of basal grinding I'd term the "Blunt" a Kirk Cornernotch that was snapped-and-salvaged. Length is 2", and WIDTH is only 1/16" less than that. A slight 'stack' in the center reaches 7/16" max thickness. The outer edges of the barbs show very minor edge grinding, but maybe that was just from having been tied on to a knife handle, slight movement inside the bindings. Wish I could provide more provenance, but it's long lost--regardless, the piece is lifetime guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $6.00 with checks, cash, or M.O.s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
